The day started with fluffy snow on the ground so we kept our feet in the prints left by a group before us. The day ended with slippery slush the last 3 miles. We just wore our usual hiking shoes, but our hiking poles were a saver.
When we got to the summit area we couldn’t climb the final rock at the peak due to ice and snow.
The day was beautiful and I feel like it was a rare opportunity to hike on fresh snow. The pics speak for themselves.
