Every time I do Baldy it's a different experience. Today was no different. The trail was completely snow covered after the ski hut. And the wind? Oh boy, there's nothing quite like the post ski hut climbs with 50+ mph winds. We started at dawn and made it up with little trouble though. The only thing that made the hike not quite perfect was having no where to sit and eat lunch at the top. Too windy and the berms that normally block the wind were non existent with the snow. Took our photos and hiked back down a bit. Had lunch on a nice log and slid our way back down the mountain. Another successful hike to check off the list!
