Getting there was pretty smooth up until you turn from Buckman Springs Road, unto Corral Canyon Trail. Shouldn’t be a problem if you have a truck or SUV. May be a bit bumpy for those with compact vehicles. Just drive slow.
Weather conditions were clear and sunny. Fairly humid day. There were A LOT of bugs on the trail. Thankfully, I brought a cooling towel I wrapped around my face. This helped with the bugs going up my nose or in my ears and mouth.
Saw lots of big cat paw prints out there so be mindful of your surroundings. Takes a bit of scrambling to get to the stretch that leads to the summit. Wear sturdy boots or shoes with good grip!
My total waking time was 3 hours. Started at 8am and got to my car about 11:30 (spent about half an hour at the peak eating my lunch).
