What a beautiful hike! Although the first couple miles were tough, uphill with no shade, the weather was pleasant and it was still enjoyable. Once we were under the tree cover, oaks and pines, it was like a different world. So beautiful and peaceful, especially since on a Wednesday in early December we only ran across two other hikers. Once we got to the “summit” we thought we were done, thank goodness for the sign and pink ties that took us to the actual summit with its amazing 360 degree view! The ladder and ropes were a bit intimidating but easily accomplished and even easier on the way down. So happy to have discovered this hike!
