the trail is a shady with a gradual incline path most of the way to the summit with amazing views. There were also manzanitas were in bloom. The trail emerges into open space near the top, with a steeper terrain. Just before the summit is a final stair climb. There was probably the best maintained path I hav3 been on this winter.
We enjoyed lunch with views on the summit before heading back.
We extended our hike at the parking lot to include Bald Mountain Peak- an easy 1.4 mile out and back. Beautiful views.
