It was long and it wasn’t easy in parts but was an amazing experience and a great way to complete our challenge. Definitely a bit of stop and go for the last mile due to scree and rocks. And yes I slipped once on the way up and twice on the way down. Weather was perfect but so glad for sunscreen and a wide brimmed hat. Also poles were a must, plenty of water and some form of electrolytes are recommended. Yes they were more people than on our other hikes but wasn’t too bad….glad we went midweek. Our celebration lunch at the top was a treat and the sense of accomplishment at the end was a great feeling. Recommend starting early, we set off at 7am and the parking lot only had a few people. One other thing we noticed was that we didn’t see one piece of litter the whole hike! What an experience with a fun dear friend keeping us focused during the pandemic……
