Imagine,  after hiking Baden-Powell and Baldy the previous two Monday's, what a ‘relaxing' hike Strawberry Peak must've been.  The morning started out chilly and fog would drift in from time to time.  The fog added a sense of mystic and wonder, and I felt somewhat like a fairytale princess in a magical forest.

Okay.. well, it mostly was an enjoyable hike. I consider myself a beginner hiker but I suppose hiking boots and a water backpack and signing up for a challenge and well… having completed three of those in one month might classify me as not beginner.

…to the point and it's late and apparently my phone likes me to repeat things. On the way back down I experienced my first piercing from a yucca plant! (Ummm… have you seen Sleeping Beauty lol). My finger was swollen and difficult to bend, kind of like a mosquito bite but not quite so.

Anyways, very enjoyable hike!
