I’m new to hiking. Sadly and pretty awesomely my first real hike was a solo trip to Mt Whitney in 2020, however, I made it to Trail Camp (12,000ft), sat by Iceburg Lake and headed by back down. I was wearing running shoes, I brought no map, and only had 3 liters of water. Unfortunately I did not have the time or proper equipment to summit that day but I will be back this year with another chance in July and October! Since my Whitney adventure last September, I have hiked to a peak every month and I started this challenge in January. Mt Whitney was such a magical experience and that perspective was life changing.
