Found this mine shaft out on my hike in North Phoenix today. Did some research on it and found that it is a 75ft vertical shaft and it was mined for gold in 1881. It is fenced off and has numerous warning signs. It was cool to see and even made it a better adventure when I learned about the history of it!!
