Mount Elden

Only a small patch of snow at the summit. Weather was sweet and the temp was 58 degrees at 930am. Parking lot was a madhouse

beautiful views from the top.  Some packed snow but it’s melting.  Not too many people.  Peaceful.

This was a good hike. Lots of stairs and the elevation gain is relentless. It’s a busy trail so you will see other folks and

Up you go!  A bit of a snowfield towards the top to cross, but it’s doable if you take your time.

You can see ’em from across Flagstaff, – the fire lookout and communications towers way up high on Mount Elden; this trail will get’cha there
