granite mountain

We had nice weather for our hike to the top of Granite Mountain today.  Four down, two to go!

Blueberries galore about mid point.  Lots of kids there with purple mouths – so great!!

We opted to forgo the boulder scramble and went a total of 9.5 miles with 3,612 feet of elevation gain. The trail was slick with

The best part of my hike up Granite Mountain was the huckleberries. There was limited visibility, light rain showers and a temp of 58 degrees.

Great hike, there’s one or two snow patches on the trail, but by the time I write this it’ll be gone, so overall snow free.

We only tend to do this hike once a year or so since, despite the scenery, we always remember it as taking a long time
