Today's hike was a challenge for me. I had done the hike before from the bottom parking lot (lots of people start at Bald Mountain

Trails were good, downhills were long and challenging. Hot and hot! I felt great after completing the hike in 6 hours.
It was a smoke filled, hot as Hades kind of day by early afternoon (Appropriate for Devil's Mountain). In the summer, get an early start.
