Mount Sizer

Perfect day to take on the challenging Mount Sizer loop. It’s great to do this hike in Spring with the grasslands still green, the creeks

Just east of Morgan Creek, Mount Sizer may not match Diablo, Tamalpais and Saint Helena for eye-popping scenery, but it gave the masochist in me

Ahhhhmazing hike….In part due to the fact that we took Friday off from work to do it. We left Santa Cruz at about 6:30 am;

Certainly one of the more challenging day hikes I’ve been on.  It’s a beautiful state park.  No views of any civilization. Wild flowers were blooming

Good weather and clean trail suitable for RV all the way up. Instead of continuous ascend this trail is equivalent of climbing 3 mountains up

Described elsewhere as a ‘beast’, this day hike is certainly a thing to plan for. We set off early at 8:30 am, choosing the perfect
