Beautiful hike under the oaks, madrones, and manzanitas. Lots of flowers but it was a little too warm to see wildlife. Should have left earlier

Pleasant, gradual climb to Mt Umunhum. I was thankful for the shady parts of the trail!

I traveled with 3 friends who are also part of the Peak Challenge. We left the Half Moon Bay Area around 7am Sunday morning. Beautiful,

Mount Umunhum June 2nd, 2019 3 take aways from this hike: The gates open at 7am, free parking. I knew that heading there, by reading

Trail conditions were good; lots of shade in between exposed areas.  Switchbacks made it a pleasurable, moderate hike.
