Your welcome packet will be mailed typically within five to seven days, containing your sticker pack, hiker tag, enamel pin, and a handy overview to keep you on track.
Here's how to get started
- Personalize your profile. Update your avatar and profile cover image to share your favorite hiking destinations. You can also share your social media links like Instagram and Facebook. And learn to navigate the Social Hiker website.
- Introduce yourself in the forums. Let us know what makes you tick. What is your “WHY?” Join us around the campfire!
Start planning your hikes
We have detailed trail guides to all the peaks in the challenge, but remember, these are just suggested routes. You can hike from any trailhead you prefer to make it challenging for you. You can hike them in the suggested order, or in any order you prefer. Start putting dates on the calendar and planning those hikes.

Mt.Diablo Summit via Back Creek and Mitchell canyon loop
