Got to the trailhead early AF because now the crowds are out in force lol. I finally got over my achilles injury but now had new knee pain in my left knee that I'm battling, but thankfully it didn't give me too many issues. The way up was a treat for the coming season. Started at 6AM and got up the peak about 9. Saw MAYBE 3 people on the way up and it was great. I may just hike the big ones in the winter now because the crowds are getting out of control and the amount of trash that gets strewn everywhere is getting irritating. Also, it seem that all these new hikers don't know proper trail etiquette either. And sure enough the way down was when it hit. Literally passed over a hundred people coming up within the span of an hour to an hour and a half. Bottom line, if you don't want to hike at Disneyland…get there as early as possible LOL

The Icehouse Canyon trailhead can be a real zoo.
And your comment about trash spurred me to buy some dog poop bags to bring on my hikes. They don’t take up any room, they aren’t very heavy, and you can use them to pick up the nasty trash that you find along the trail (tissues, etc.) without using your hands.
