We got to the top in our fastest time that we'd ever done for this peak. We turned on the afterburners up to about a half to 3/4 mile from the top and then slowed down so we didn't gas out before the summit lol. Still made record time and had a great lunch at the top. Met some great people, talked to a bad mofo of a ranger who carried a new 80lb sign to the peak, and met a marine that hike from the desert floor (cactus to clouds) to the peak in 6 HOURS!!!!!! Needless to say it was a great day. This is honestly the most beautiful hike in socal. Went a bit slow on the downhill because of my knee but still got down well before dark, which is plus!

Very cool! So you were one of the first to snap a pic with the new summit sign on San Jacinto?!
