we arrived at 7;30 am and there were already cars lining the road side. there was still alot of snow at the bottom so you had to park about .3 mile from the entrance. The hike up was beautiful if you could get over all the people around you talking and playing music on their speakers. once you got to the top the views were amazing, it was such a clear day and after waiting in line, like at an amusement park, we were able to actually get on the lookout cabin. After sitting near the top to eat some food the crowds grew even bigger and the way down was twice as busy as the way up. The great thing about the way down was that the glissading, it was epic nice big long slides carved out in the snow like a waterslides at a water park. Once we got down the parking lot was 3 times as crowded and the trail head for the lake was even busier. it was so packed that the road became one way and people were backiong up to let other through. I would recommend this Hike to be a sunrise hike to really get full enjoymemt out of it.
