What to say about hiking to the top of Mount Umunhum starting at the Bald Mountain Trailhead? While we gained over a thousand feet of elevation, the trail is very gradual and, at times, it was possible to forget that there's a steady uphill for the first (almost) four miles. And, since it was less than eight miles from our cars to the summit and back to our vehicles again, it was the perfect trail to hike in the morning, while reserving the afternoon for other endeavors (in our case, getting coffee and sandwiches at a local coffee shop). Hiked this trail with my friends and we all had a great time.
