Mt. Umunhum is the third peak in the Six Pack of Peaks Challenge, that I’ve hiked. The morning started with thunder storms, lightning and double rainbows. I parked at the Bald Mountain Trail parking lot, and started the hike around 7:30.

With the current heatwave, it was hot and humid, luckily most of the trails is covered. but the insects were annoying. I spent the entire hike up Mt. Umunhum swatting horse flies off my face. I was wearing an insect repellent bracket, and it didn’t keep them off.

I have been recording my hikes on AllTrails, but this morning – it glitched and didn’t record. I figured it froze when I was at the East Peak, and then restarted the recording.

The trail wasn’t too busy, a few people passed me, headed up while I was hiking down.
