I know that I'm in the minority when I say this, but I really like Mt. Wilson!  The loop is challenging and it's got great views.  When the Cosmic Cafe is open it's a plus.  A cold drink and a slice of pie mid hike is just a great way to relax at the top. Go early, and hike fast and you can be back to your car and home well before dinner time.
