Great hike! The last 1/4 to half mile was very difficult but worth the views from the peak. We sat and fueled up and took in all the beauty. Clear day – could see San Clemente and Catalina Islands. Wooden markers are there, just fell off the post.
The views were my prize, but for one in our group, hitting Ortega Oaks Candy Store once we got down was his. Very nice store owner and gave us lots of information on area hikes. Her baked goods smelled so delicious (pumpkin breads/pies/rolls weren't ready when we were there) and I will definitely stop in next time I am that way.
