I must admit I had a lot of anxiety going into this hike, mostly because I had attempted C2C a few weeks prior and failed. So yes, I had a beef with this peak. But I redeemed myself.

I decided to join a meet-up of Girls Who Hike LA, thinking that failure was less of an option with a larger group. And I was right. C2C and Marion Mountain were poles apart in difficulty and weather conditions. I'm glad I got over my anxiety and decided to still tackle San Jacinto via a different trail.

I heard there are at least a few more ways to tackle San Jacinto so I cannot wait to discover those other trails. Who's going with me this summer?
