I was with a friend who had this peak on her bucket list… the difficulty level for her was high so we went nice and slow and took a lot of breaks. The morning was gorgeous but it got hot very quickly. We at lunch at the peak while talking to the huge crowd of people waiting in an hour like to get on the rock. On the way down it was 85 degrees and we ran out of water – both consuming 2 full liters. The 8 mile hike took us 6 hours. We fully soaked in the gorgeous terrain.
