1/21/2021:

Today, I took the day off to hike up to Ontario Peak.  I wanted to knock this off because of the upcoming storm we were going to have.  On the trails leading to to the saddle were manageable.  I had on my microspikes and trekking poles during the majority of the hike.  After I passed the saddle, the trails were all covered up in snow.  I didn’t see any trails at all.  Apparently, I selected the wrong peak to summit.   I didn’t see much hikers going up to Ontario Peak.  I only saw one pair of footprint in the snowy trails.  And this person did alot of backtracking.

After a slow, meticulously processed, I finally reached Ontario Peak.  I had the Peak by myself.  It was a little foggy up there.  Not alot of snow nor ice.  Since, it was a bit chilly, I started myself down the Peak.  I had no problem coming down because I drew arrows in the snow to guode myself back to my car.

As much as fun hiking snow, I would not recommend doing it.  It quite dangerous.  The snow covered much on the trails.  Since I have hiked up to Ontario Peak alot of time,  I knew where the trails were.  But I was very careful in my steps moving forward.
