Fake it ’til you make it

This being my first hike of the challenge, a person would think I would take reviews and tips more seriously. While I read there was little shade, some confusion with the trial, and a few false peaks — I was very confident none of that would bother me. I was wrong. I started way to late in the day (11:10am) and it was HOT. I took one wrong turn and hiked up a very steep hill that was not part of the trail (luckily, because I was high up I could see the trail and those properly on it). The false peaks at the end did crush my soul a bit but all of this said it was a super satisfying hike with spectacular views. The last stretch is challenging — but very worth it. Excited to move onto the next peaks in the challenge!
