This was my first time hiking to the top of Santiago Peak. I know that the Holy Jim trail is supposed to be pretty nice and also a good long Challenge, but this Maple Springs trail leaves you hangin'. It was still a good day though, nothing beats being outside.

Although, being big on the menu for the swarms of biting Black Flies, ruins the fun. Bring bugs spray folks, you're exposed fleashy regions will thank you for it.

I also hit Modjeska Peak on the way back down to help make the hike more challenging. The little extra effort is worth it. This gives you a great eye level view of Stantiago from a distance.
