I just love this wilderness! Beautiful hike and not too busy. Some challenging sections, but overall not too difficult. Arrived at 6am on Friday to only a handful of cars in the lot. Park still wasn't full upon my return. Brought (and drank) 4 litres of water.

Decided to double down, climbing Ontario along with Bighorn nearby. Ontario's trail was well maintained, except for half a dozen or so fallen trees over the path. Not a big deal, but makes for some extra nimble footwork, if you're carrying a large backpack (in training for an upcoming thru-hike). Relatively quiet at the peak on a weekday.

Bighorn's trail was not as well-maintained, but still clear enough. A steep incline, with tiny little switchbacks gets the heart pumping, but the quietness of the trail more than makes than makes up for nabbing the second peak. Actually, the mountain was a ghost town. Only passed one couple coming down on my way up, then had the peak all to myself, while I enjoyed the views over sounds of a breeze through the trees. Magical.

This peak (well, pair of peaks) marks my sixth peak, completed in just six weeks and I can't wait to tick off the remainder on the list before the year is out.
