Old Saddleback shares the name “Santiago” as to the creek that originates from its Southwestern flancs, and by the help of the other point of the saddle, Modjeska.
The Indigenous’ Kalawpa for “wooded place”, is the highest point in the Santa Ana Mountains and of Orange County. It is believed to be Sanctuary to Quaoar , a Divine figure to the Takic-speaking Natives;
now clustered with arrays that provides signals coverage for five SoCal counties..
