Once again, our group followed the excellent directions provided from the Social Hiker site.  We arrived at our location by the suggested time of 7 am for fear that the court like dead end would be filled up quickly.  This is a very gorgeous and classy neighborhood with homes ranging above a million plus.   The trail head began with a lot of uphill ascents.  I would definitely say that this trail probably had more uphill climbs than the other peak challenges.  This is definitely a strenuous course as rated by Social Hiker.  There is an equal amount of shade as well as many exposed areas.  If you are doing this on a hot day, be prepared with sun screen and a hat.  The temps for us on this day reached a high of 84.  Beautiful weather for the bay area.  This was an out and back hike that gave us a total of 11.51 miles.  Super fun hike and we ended it with a tail gate picnic!
