Left at 5:30am from the Cathedral Rock South Loop Trailhead, it was a perfect day for a hike, full moon and bluebird sky.  Unfortunately the amount of snow even with snowshoes was very difficult going.  It took me one hour to go less than a mile.  Decided at this rate it would take me 17 hours to complete the hike and decided to turn around.  If I were to do it again in the winter I would have elected to skin up.  Now I have my excuse to buy ski's!
