It was a lovely day and the views were fantastic, but this hike is brutal! We went up the fire road and down Bald Ridge, and I'm wondering if we should have gone the other direction. I do feel a sense of accomplishment but probably never need to do this route again. Don't be fooled by the smiles in my pictures.
Bring hiking poles. Please.
