Where to begin? Sometimes we begin in the end. It was an unexpected treat to get a text from my friend Meredith that would have me start my six pack of peaks journey with the biggy San G as my first hike. I was a little hesitant since I hadn’t hiked anything that strenuous in months yet idea was to take our time enjoy the scenery with Meredith was highly appealing. Started off enjoying the cool crisp morning with few people on the trail. We paced ourselves for a steady climb. There were snow patches as we got to higher ground. We encountered few hikers along the way. Summiting was just as spectacular as ever and I knew it was a huge victory for my friend Meredith. It was so great to see her rise in victory over her past battle with cancer that is now behind her. Way to go Meredith! And, a sweet ending start hike for me!
