There's a 7 miles bumpy ride of dirt road to the trailhead, which requires AWD or high clearance vehicle. We took the side trail and head to Modjeska Peak first, then to the Santiago peak. The side trail are narrower, so it’s not as dusty as the main trail with motorcycles. We got to see beautiful flowers along the way to the peak. It was cold and very windy at the Santiago Peak. Beautiful view with seas of clouds. Great hike.
