I arrived at the lower trailhead around 5 AM. It was a fairly chilly start to the hike. In the mid 30s at the trailhead. It was a gorgeous day out on the trail. I am going to attempt to day hike Whitney, and this was my last “training” hike before the attempt. So I actually did the full hike from the lower trailhead twice back-to-back. Definitely wiped out after the second. But I made it.
