I started at 8:30am and had lots of shade headed up. I didn’t really feel hot until the descent. This is a fun hike. It’s challenging but there are some flats and short downhills on the way up to mix it up. You don’t get city views at the top but you do see the surrounding peaks and wilderness. It was very pretty and fun. I will do again!
Be mindful of your trail map. About halfway up I took the most visible route and AllTrails notified me I was off course. It’s a very easy mistake and there are no directional signs.
