The B.A.T.S. finished their “5th Mountain Peak of the Six Peak Challenge,” at Mtn Bachelor! We got an early start and was at the top by 9:15. We saw a bit of the sunrising over Tumalo Mountain, had our brunch alone at the summit and on our way down was the first time we ran into other hikers.
I was intimidated by this mountain but it turns out it wasn't bad at all, just a bit steeper than what we've been doing. The trail was totally fine. From other reports I expected skree, but I didn't think there was any.  No problems with slippage.  The weather was perfect and the skies were magnificent along with the views.  Our pictures look like we were buckwacking through rocks, but the trail was easy to follow and just fine.  It was a bit more difficult than the others, but that's to be expected! Afterall, that's why it's fifth on the list!  The reason why it was hard, is that you gain so much elevation gain in a short 3.5 miles. I guess that is what makes it such a great ski mountain!
