It is a long drive from Escondido, CA, where I live to Julian, CA where Volcan Mountain and Cuyamaca Peak are located.  So I convinced some of my hiking friends to do both in one day!  We started early in the morning at Volcan Mountain and then continued on to Cuyamaca Peak.  We had beautiful weather.  What a great day for two hikes!
