This hike was supposed to include our newest Happy Hiker, but unfortunately she didn't wake up in time. So we proceeded without her. We got started a little late about 7AM, but made up for it with a brisk pace. Wow, that section near the top is really steep! We were glad that it appears some trail maintenance was being done to make the steep section more do-able. It was a beautiful day for a hike, and we were only hampered slightly by the bugs.
