Whoa! My hiking buddy Jo and I accidentally started at the wrong TH (whoops )! And instead of hiking @12 miles we hiked 21!!! We got lucky and climbed right before the big fire off Hwy 58 . The trail was mostly shady and with that comes mosquitoes! Highly recommend to wear thicker pants and mosquito face covering ! Followed the trail along large ponds then hit the rocky path to the top . Could see surround sound mountains in the distance.
