Great day on Maiden Peak – my fourth summit from the 2022 challenge. Hiked with some great people from the Bend Hiking Meetup.

Started from the Maiden Lake trailhead at 7:45 am. Reached the summit in ~3 hours. No snow to cross; the trail was completely snow-free though we did see some patches off trail.

This route from the east side of the mountain is much less crowded, though Maiden Peak is never really crowded anyway.

Next up, South Sister on Thursday! ????

    I’m interested in that you climbed the EAST TH…..Maybe less bugs also, because you don’t go by lakes???
