Started at 7:23am. At the the summit by 1:31pm.
clear Sunny day. No wind at the top. Hard compact snow going up. Most of it was mushy on the way down thanks to the sun.
Very few people on the trail. Only seven people summited today. Necessary to bring Ice axe, crampons, microspikes. Microspikes were used up until half mile before ski hut. Brutal hike today. Back at the car by 5:03pm. Glad i took knee pads. Fell down a bunch. Super steep going up to Baldy but we slid down on the way back. it was awesome. I hiked in G-1000 pants from FJALL RAVEN. I added wax to the pants to make them waterproof so I could slide down with easeS I'm training for Mount Whitney so I got some good training in. Super steep trail after ski hut. Reminded me of trailcrest on Whitney. I Went through about 2 liters of water. Iran out 1 mile before the parking lot so not too bad. Clear sunny day and I got a wicked sunburn on my cheeks. Wore a ski mask most of the time but the sun still got me.
Helmet is important. A lot of meting snow from the trees Pegged me. Bring food. I was starving and my snacks weren't enough. Had in n out after. I’m beat. That makes two socal six pack mountains done. 4 more to go.

Looks like perfect conditions for a winter mountaineering climb! Well done.
Thank you 🙌🏻
Congratulations on the summit! Awesome hike log and pictures. Cool you mentioned the pants, they aren’t cheap but man they are probably the best pants I’ve ever had!
Definitely best pants! And thank you 🙌🏻
Nice writeup, congrats on the summit sounded like a tough challenge!
It was brutal. I just did Cucamonga a few days ago. I actually felt that was tougher than Baldy 😅 took me 12 hrs 35 mins to bag Cucamonga
