We parked up at 4 corners and if you do not have a high clearance or 4×4 I would not recommend going past the paved road up to 4 corners.  We had read that there may be a lot of dust and dirt kick up from vehichles that use the same hiking road so we opted to start on the single track recommended by Hiking Guy.  The single track is just that.  Not a lot to see on this hike until you get to the peak.  The single track was passable but there was a lot of rock which made hiking a bit challenging.  We took the single track until we got to Modjeska Peak and then opted for the main road as there were not a lot of trucks or motorcycles today.  All in all a pretyy uneventful hike.  The weather was nice and since there is limited shade I would not recommend this hike in the summer months.

  1. We will be starting at Four Corners too! Planning on doing this Sunday. Can I ask you how long it took start to finish from Four Corners? Just for planning sake 🙂
