What’s not to love about St Helena?! This was a moderate out and back hike with some steep rocky sections and one downed tree. There were amazing views to and from the summit, but the summit itself was completely socked in by clouds, providing zero visibility of the 360 views at the peak. We saw what may have been the very last clump of snow by the summit! Summit was breezy and very cold so we quickly wolfed down our lunch and headed back. But once we began our descent and got below the clouds, the gorgeous views were back again! Overall a lovely hike with friendly hikers along the route. Get an early start if you can. We were on the trail at 7am; it was extremely quiet and serene with just a few other early bird hikers. Parking lot fills up fast!
