My buddy and I went to Sedona for the weekend and did some camping and hiking. On Saturday we did Bear Mountain and then Sunday we did Wilson.

At the start of Wilson trail you get to go through some cool overgrown trees and bushes and stuff. It's close to something out of a fairytale.  Then the switchbacks start… On any of our hikes we just take it easy. We're never in a hurry. I think it took us like an hr and a half to getup the side?

Once you make it past the switchbacks it levels out and is just an easy stroll. It was a relief to just kick some rock and enjoy the weather.  On the top you cruise along pretty good. There is a lot of old burnt-out trees, but there is a ton of new growth.

We made it to Canyon lookout and had lunch. I think we got there about 130 or 2ish? We had lunch and took lots of pictures! We cut back and went over to the Sedona lookout and relaxed there for a little bit. If you go it's worth the side jog. The views over Sedona are amazing.

We finished up the hike around 5. All trails said we did 11.56 miles and all in all it took us about 7 and a half hours for the whole thing. Between the views and the weather you couldn't have asked for a better day.

    1. Thank you!! We didn’t. We went up the North Wilson Trail #123. When we did Bear Mountain, we met this cool dude and his puppers(Ken&KY) He said to come in from the bridge? He said it was a bit easier? Lol, I’ve already got us lost a few times so 8 figured I’d just stick with what the list and all trails said. Either way it’s an amazing hike and we’ll worth it.
