We started around 7 and had the trail mostly to ourselves (we saw a few bikers and only one other hiker on the way up). It was awesome. There are so many wildflowers of all varieties blooming right now, and it was an amazing site seeing the regrowth in the burn scar areas. It was hot in the exposed areas, mostly the Upper Holy Jim section, but not unbearable yet. We went counter clockwise, pay attention to the map, or be on the lookout, as the Upper Holy Jim turn off is not marked and is easy to miss, learn from my mistake. Be warned there were epic amounts of Lady bugs as you near the peak, but I did not find them too bothersome.
