Me and my friend started the trail just before 9am and made it to summit around 10/10:15am. It was pretty windy today especially at the top on the west side of the fire watch tower. The trail was well kept and all the signs were great! Until we got to the top and saw someone had ripped the sign off the post! 🙁 The last about quarter of a mile was really tough for me because of the elevation and the constant uphill catching up to me. However, once I hit the top and that cold wind blasted me I was full of energy again! I had a peanut butter protein bar at the top and had some water. There is some decent shade on the trail but there is also good sun exposure for a majority of the trial at least in the mid morning hours!
