FILLED. WITH. BUGS. Heat wasn’t too bad, first two miles were pretty rough with super high grades and little to no shade, but past that it’s nice through wooded areas to the peak. Nice climbing and birdwatching at the lookout just before the peak! Saw and heard lots of California quails, scrub jays, and mountain chickadees at the peak lookout.
