I've now officially fallen in love with the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains!  There are so many spectacular peaks with wide expansive views.  Took off for Bighorn Peak & then Ontario Peak at 4:45am, using my headlamp for the first time hiking, and was surprised that it was in many ways buggier at 6am than 11am.  First 3 miles were substantial elevations gains in a short amount of time.  Considered doing Cucamonga Peak but that would've added an extra 5 miles on top of a 14 mile hiking day and I'm not quite ready for that mileage.  Ran into another hiker that was doing a 38-40 mile hiking day with several peaks!!!
