Drove through the Sonoma and Napa valleys in a blanket of thick coastal fog. ~3 miles up highway 29 it cleared and the hike was in the sun the entire 5 miles up and 5 miles down. I parked at 7:15AM and was on the trail by 7:25AM. Plenty of parking on a weekday. I saw 3 other hikers and some telecom maintenance people, but was otherwise alone the entire trip. Took me <2 hours to the summit and I was back at my car in 3.5hours. It was warm on the way down and the lower trail rock scramble was a little tough on tired legs. Bring plenty of water! No bathrooms at the start, FYI. Plan accordingly! Beautiful views above the fog!
